BankTree has vastly improved their software from their previous version. They have added features and functionality that make it much more competitive with other personal finance software packages.
BankTree Personal can help you to budget your expenses and reconcile your accounts.
The program also offers eight different cash flow charts, so you can see where your money has been, where it is and where it's going.

Ease of Use/Install:
BankTree was easy to install, and easy to use, with large navigation buttons at the top that make it apparent where to go to look at accounts, reports, etc.
Banking/Bills:
BankTree allows you to import financial files downloaded from your bank, which is a nice feature, but the top 4-ranked software packages allow direct connection to your bank or credit union. You can also customize payee categories, run reports, and schedule bills, but offers no bill pay service free or otherwise.
We did like how BankTree made it easy to check exchange rates, we just would like to see similar automation applied to bank and investment accounts.
Financial Calculators:
BankTree comes with two calculators: Loan and Mortgage.
Support / Documentation:
BankTree's application help was a little bare compared to others, but their email support usually responded within 1 day, which is great if you need assistance.
Summary:
BankTree has shown that they are committed to improving their product year by year, and if they continue this trend, we could see their software competing for a spot in our top three. The interface is simple and easy to navigate, but the lack of online banking and online investment features kept it from ranking higher.
